Lecture Phase

I have been in Kona, Hawaii now for about two months and it has been amazing. My word for the past couple of weeks is Full Surrender. I am learning how to commit every aspect of my life to God so that he can break, mold, and shape me into what he wants me to be. I have been deeply studying the Bible and each week have lectures from different teachers which has been amazing. I have been serving in the kitchen here at base and Keiki Closet which is a ministry serving pregnant women and babies. At Keiki Closet we do a wide range of things but mostly provide clothes and baby products for women who can’t afford them. I am apart of a worship “track” which basically means each week I study the psalms and have a class to learn more about worship and the heart posture of praise. The Lord has been pushing me to be disciplined in my discernment and in my habits each morning and day. I am learning to fully serve the Lord in the season that I am in and lean on him for my understanding. It has been refreshing to be in a community of believers who all have a higher standard for me and push me to be the best version of myself. I LOVE my community and friends here in Kona and it has been a blessing to be able to see all different cultures and different backgrounds. It has been cool to be able to learn and then live out the lessons that I’m learning around a community of people that love me. I am being stretched out of my comfort zone and continuously being shown areas in my life where I need to break off bad habits and turn the other way. I will be learning, growing, and serving here in Kona for one more month then I will go on outreach. We will go with teams into the nations and serve the communities and evangelize. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be here and appreciate all of the prayers.
